The City of Kingston requires that all pets be licensed each year.

These resources will help you travel within and outside of Kingston. Please note that street parking is prohibited from December 1 to March 31 between 1 am and 7 am to allow for snow removal from city streets.

Kingston Parking
The City maintains and administers a variety of parking options (including 4,000 parking spaces) and enforces parking regulations.

Kingston Transit
Kingston Transit provides bus service within the urban area of the City of Kingston and, under contract, to the neighbouring community of Amherstview.
MegaBus
MegaBus provides daily bus service to Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto.
VIA Rail
VIA Rail provides daily train service to Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto.

You are responsible for keeping the premises free from refuse. You must ensure your recycling is correctly sorted and put out for pickup every week. Doing so will help you stay within the City's one-bag-per-week limit and reduce the amount of waste going to our landfills.

Blue Box Recycling
The blue box is used to collect metal, plastic and glass food and beverage containers as well as rigid plastic packaging for recycling.

Grey Box Recycling
The grey box is used to collect paper products, cardboard and plastic bags.
Green Bin
The green bin is used to collect food waste, soiled paper products and small amounts of yard waste.

Smoking is prohibited in all areas of our rental properties.

KLF&A No Smoking By-law
The Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 and the Kingston No Smoking By-Law are enforced by KFL&A Public Health Tobacco Enforcement Officers.

Second-hand smoke in rental units
Tenants can apply to the Landlord and Tenant Board when second-hand smoking interfers with their reasonable enjoyment.

HydroOne provides electricity services to the East, North and West areas of Kingston.
Utilities Kingston
Utilities Kingston provides water, wastewater, gas, and electricity services to the South and central areas of Kingston.

You are responsible for keeping the premises free from refuse. You must ensure your garbage is securely tied and put out for pickup every week. Doing so will help you avoid unwanted pests and garbage disposal fees upon moving out.
